We know that this can be a stressful time and you want to make sure everything is perfect for your child. Below are our more frequently asked questions. Take a moment and read the list below and if you still feel we have not answered your question, then pick up the phone and give us a call or email us. We will patch you directly to our Birthday Coordinator and they will walk you through the entire process to ensure your needs are met.

* How can I schedule a birthday party?

Please visit our online booking site at https://citybeach.pcsparty.com/bookings/ You can also email us at birthdays@citybeach.com or call our Birthday Hotline at 510-651-2500 ext. 119. The Birthday Coordinator will return your email or call to book your child’s Birthday Party. Our Birthday Coordinator’s hours are generally Tuesday through Friday 12:00pm – 4:00pm. If you stop by and the Birthday staff is not here, please fill out the inquiry form at the front desk and we will be in touch with you during the next office day. Filling out the inquiry form does not guarantee the space is available but it does guarantee you will be called.

* How many people are allowed to attend the party?

Each package cost covers a certain amount of individuals.  This does not mean more guests cannot attend however.  If the package cost covers 40 people (25 children, 15 adults), then each additional guest after that will cost $15 (children) and $5 (adults).

There is a “Deluxe Rockin’ Party,” “Beach Deluxe,” and “Private Island” which have more room for larger party sizes. These party packages offer more space and an extra staff to help supervise.

* Do I need to give City Beach a final head count prior to my party?

We require a final head count 8 days prior to the event.

* How much does a City Beach Birthday cost?

Our parties range in price depending on the package you select, the number of guests, and which menu you select. Our packages with food start around $400-$500 and up.

*How do I pay for the birthday party?

The cost of the package is needed in order to hold the time spot for your birthday.  Once the deposit is paid, the spot is yours.  At the end of the party, the party host will present you with your final invoice.  No one will see your credit card information, it is safe with us!

*What is your cancellation policy?

Payment is non-refundable. If you provide at least 10 days notice you may apply your payment to any available date or time within the next two months. Any party canceled with less than 10 days notice will forfeit their total payment paid.

* Can I bring a birthday cake?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a cake with candles and themed decorative items. We do ask that you take home your decorations. If you would like your cake stored in our refrigerator until it is time to sing, we would be delighted to accommodate you. However, due to limited space, we do ask that you not bring ice cream cakes without first consulting the Birthday Coordinator.

* Can I bring my own food for the party?

City Beach does not allow any outside food or drinks. Pizza, appetizers, and other food options, are available to order a la carte. We can also provide Sodas, Lemonade, Iced Tea and Fruit Punch.

* When should I order food for my party?

Menu selection is due at the same time as your final head count, 8 days prior to your event.

* Do I need to bring silverware, table cloths, or napkins for the party?

We provide plates, forks, napkins, table cloths and cups for every party. If you would like to bring in themed table cloths, that would be great. Again, we just ask that you take them home with you.

* When should I show up?

Due to limited time between parties, please arrive no more than 5 minutes prior to your event. The party space and facility is only available to your group during your scheduled time. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee there will be space available to your group arriving earlier than 5 minutes or staying later than 5 minutes.

* Can I bring goodie bags?

Absolutely, we love goodie bags. We ask that you hand them out at the end of the party and please no streamers or silly string as it is difficult for us to clean up.

* Do I need to fill out waivers for my group?

All participants must have a waiver filled out and signed before the party. If multiple children from the same family are attending they may be included on the same waiver as long as the parent or guardian has filled out all their names and signed the form. Waivers can also be found on the birthday invitations provided free of charge by City Beach.

* Can we roam around the entire facility during our party?

We do multiple parties at once so we ask you respect the other parties and their guests. We invite you to explore our facility that is open to the public as long as children are accompanied by an adult.

* How is the time broken up between party time and eating time?

Each package is 2 hours.  The play time and serve time happen within the 2 hour time slot and there is no specific time frame for eating and playing.   Food is usually served 45 min into the party.  The final half hour is for cake and celebration.

* Can our party stay and play following our booked party time?

Time and space permitting, we can add up to one hour to your party for an additional cost.  If your party would like to stay longer, please ask the party host.

* How do I book a Rockin Deluxe or Beach Deluxe birthday package?

Both packages must be booked through the birthdays coordinator.  They are based on availability.
